There’s always the newest and latest trends when it comes to food and beverage, but what about your next meeting? What are you providing during your meetings and holiday parties? Are you up-to-date with current trends in the catering industry? According to the Nations Restaurant News, here are a few of the hottest food and beverage trends you should be trying.
Hot! Hot! Hot!
Now this will definitely not be a catering food trend I’m participating in since I can barely handle mild sauce, but it’s great for the sriracha lovers! This is an easy trend to follow since you can pretty much add heat to anything, so go ahead and spice up your next meeting with something hot. The easy go-tos would be a taco bar, nachos, or wings.
Eat Your Veggies
Vegetables are a huge hit right now and they don’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon. Veggies are not always prepared in a healthy way, but there are ways to enjoy your favorite veggies without them being fried. Whether you’re eating sautéed brussel sprouts, baked parsnips, or your favorite veggie burger, vegetables are here to stay, so eat your greens.
Who doesn’t love sliders? You can create any combo or concoction you or your team wants. You could go with the traditional burger, or try something new like fish or brisket sliders. Sliders are an awesome heavy appetizer, which you see at about every networking event. They are also great as a meal. A perfect option for your next meeting or networking event.
Ice Cream Sandwiches
Yum! That’s all I really need to say on this one. The fun part about ice cream sandwiches is that you can make your own! What a cool breakout for your next meeting; all sorts of cookies, ice creams, and fun toppings. You not only have your dessert covered, you’ve also created a fun activity the staff will love.
I did say beverage in the title of the article, so I better have a least one hot beverage trend (no pun intended). Teas have become more and more popular over the years based on their health benefits. Two teas that are growing in popularity are Kombucha tea and Matcha tea. Kombucha tea is a tea (black or green)that has been fermented and is known for its benefits with detoxification and digestion. Matcha tea is a finely ground powder of specially grown and processed green tea and is known for its high level of antioxidants. Both are becoming very popular.
Any of these corporate catering trends sound appetizing? Why not talk to your local facility or event planner and try one of these food or beverage trends for your next meeting or networking event.
