Ever heard of “Notes From The Universe?”
It’s a daily email from, yep, the Universe. And I’m a big fan. Sometimes I think Mike Dooley (the guy who writes the notes) has a hidden camera in my psyche because often the message is EXACTLY what I need to hear. Other days, I simply get a kick out of the peppy, clever writing. I’ve been subscribed for about a year now and it has never disappointed.
For instance, here’s today’s note:
If you were able to look back at your most brilliant successes, stunning comebacks, amazing catches, and smokin’ ideas, Mark, and you were to find that virtually all of them seemed to materialize out of thin air, when you least expected them, and that they had exceeded even your greatest expectations at the time, how excited would you be about the new year and whatever else I’ve got up my sleeve.
Take my name out, insert yours, and read it again. Then when you’re done smiling, and think about how great this year can be for you…if you’ll let it be.
By the way, I like to think God (the Universe’s real name) is personally writing me the note, which makes my smile that much bigger. I’m pretty convinced there’s a higher power helping me on both my good and bad days. ‘Cause if it was just up to me, there would be far more bad days I’m sure. I mean I’m good, but I’m not THAT good. 🙂
